Our concept development team develop bespoke, in house, concepts to incorporate the latest food from the high-street and nutrition trends.
Concepts include our new further education brand ‘Society Street Kitchen’ which brings the best of British street food to our further education colleges, our award-winning brand ‘Trashed’, which focuses on using food items that would otherwise be wasted - this took home a Footprint Award and was shortlisted for the Waste2Zero Awards.
We work with leading food-influencers and chefs on collaborations from high-street brands to fine dining.
Food and nutrition
Our award-winning food team is led by our Executive Chef, Peter Joyner, who takes inspiration both locally and internationally to ensure that our food is always market-leading using sustainably sourced and local ingredients where possible.
Working closely with Peter, Mandy Davies our head of Dietetics and Nutrition and her team ensure our health and wellbeing commitments are embedded into our menus, from low sugar menus in education to vegan menus in across our business and industry sector.
We are committed to delivering a world-class digital offer, including a truly frictionless order experience for all of our customers whether in a primary school, office environment or hospitality suites.
Our innovation team constantly test the market for state of the art digital innovation to enrich the lives of our customers. They have developed a number of in-house technology innovations, including our bespoke ‘Breaz’ app which allows customers to browse, order and pay, from their phone and our proprietary school meal ordering technology ‘LunchHound’ which is modernising the school lunch ordering system.
Recognising the shift in requirements for workplace catering and changes in consumer behaviour, our market-leading cloud catering solution has been newly developed to support this new demand. Lexington Unboxed delivers workplace meeting and event catering from our dark kitchen in central London.
We offer both a newly created workplace menu and bespoke event catering and gifting hampers. Available at just 24 hours notice, our handcrafted workplace hospitality boxes are true to our philosophy on food sustainability; to deliver seasonal, delicious and natural food from local and national suppliers in fully sustainable and recyclable packaging.
