Scunthorpe’s first Starbucks will open at John Leggott College in September, thanks to a substantial investment by the college’s new caterer Elior UK.

Two Starbucks sites will open at the start of the new term under the coffee chain’s We Proudly Brew brand.

The openings are part of a bigger investment in John Leggott College by Elior, which will also see a newly refurbished refectory and a brand new food offer that focuses heavily on street food.

Paul Fisher, Director Education Elior UK, says: “At Elior it’s the whole experience that matters and we’ve developed an exciting food offer that will attract students to stay on-site and enjoy the facilities. As well as two new Starbucks We Proudly Brew sites, we will be launching a deli concept called Go Sasa, build your own soup offer Umami and street food concept ChU. Students will also be able to enjoy freshly made pizza and gourmet burgers thanks to our Pizza Foundry and Heavenly Burger brands.
