This exciting opportunity as a Relief Chef is based at The Independent Living Extra Care Villages across High Wycombe, Coventry, Birmingham and Bristol, (other sites may also be required). You will be joining an enthusiastic team reporting into the Group Manager. The position offers an excellent career pathway towards operation support management if desired.

As a Relief Chef within our Caterplus brand, part of Elior UK, you will provide nutritious and tasty food within the care sector including residential homes, independent villages and Kosher-care.

Your key responsibilities as the Relief Chef will consist of:
•Proactively manage catering teams
•Recruiting, training, supporting and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, customer and client
•Ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
•Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
•Creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.
•Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues.


•Proven experience of successfully managing a team
•Genuine interest in customer service excellence
•Proven leadership ability
•Proactive and ‘hands on' approach
•Catering experience essential with chef skills
•Contract catering is desirable


As part of your package, we are offering a salary £25,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Holidays 28 days (including Bank Holidays), colleague pension enrolment and travel allowance.
