Lexington are a boutique, contract catering company, who have achieved significant growth and success since we were established in 2002. We Specialise in high-end contract catering, fine dining, hospitality and front of house services, we currently look after over 50 prestigious contracts across central London and the South East. We currently have an opportunity for an Experienced People Manager to come and join our team.
Overall Purpose of Job:
To oversee all HR activity for the ‘One Team' business (Lexington & Elior B&I London - approx. 1,700 employees across 130 locations). Work closely with wider HR team & senior leadership team to deliver initiatives that nurture engagement, strengthen employer brand and retain talent.
•Talent Management◦Manage the annual appraisal & mid-year review process through our online system, Talent Toolbox
◦Analyse results to identify key trends, create Talent Packs, confirm actions / recommendations & cascade results
◦Oversee the Lexington Graduate Scheme & focus group, Lex School of Talent.
◦Organise annual ‘Champions' recognition scheme
◦Chair bi-monthly People Meetings with operators
• Learning & Development◦Organise & oversee development programmes – Manager Mentoring Programme, Chef Mentoring Programme, Supervisor Development Programme & Aspiring Leadership Programme
◦Develop annual One Team Training Calendar
◦Deliver monthly HR Bite Size training sessions
◦Work with Elior Academy & external providers (such as City Lit, Babcock & Purple Cubed) to address specific training needs
•Engagement◦Oversee internal communications – intranet & employee app maintenance & content, Nice to know Newsletter, Currant Bun people content
◦Manage engagement initiatives – The Bold Idea, engagement surveys etc.
◦Chair the One Team Talk employee engagement forum
◦Promote & administer the Lex Live our Values cheque book recognition scheme
◦Organise the annual One Team Star Awards
◦Present people strategy / focus areas at the annual One Team conference
◦Organise annual Long Service Event
◦Continue to innovate / consider new initiatives to drive engagement, embed the values & nurture a culture of fun and inclusivity
Work closely with Directors to ensure HR activity is aligned with business objectives & strategy
◦Support the HR Director and Head of HR in developing and implementing Elior UK HR initiatives & Group strategy
◦Advise on more complex employee relations issues & manage tribunal claims
◦Hold monthly meetings with Operators & provide HR updates at monthly Operations Meetings & Managers Meetings
◦Provide support with regard to HR policies, procedures & best practice
◦Work alongside operators & sales to manage TUPE mobilisations & de-mobilisations
◦Create monthly HR report to track key statistics & identify trends
Work with internal stakeholders & external providers to ensure benefits are maintained & fit for purpose
◦As part of your package, we are offering a salary up to £60000.00, per annum/pro rata, dependent on experience. You will also receive a Season ticket to help with travel.
◦This role also comes with company pension scheme, life insurance (x4), 33 days holiday – (including Bank Holidays) - Increasing to 34 after 2 completed years' service. You can also purchase up to 5 additional days annual leave.
