Description

Pastry Chef Responsibilities
Include:

Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting

You will also:
- Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times
- Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
- Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
- Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used
- Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
- Ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and services

Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified chef who has previous experience working within a Patisserie or 4/5 star hotel where they have held the responsibility of running the pastry section. Most importantly we want you to have creativity and flare this type of work and for it to be seen in the food that you present to your customers.

Benefits

the successful candidate will be offered a starting salary of £20,075 per year. You will also receive 28 Holiday days (including Bank Holidays) and increasing to 31 days after 3 years' service, colleague pension enrolment.
