This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager working at a premium home. Our client is warm, friendly and accommodating catering for 70 plus residents with a mix of nursing and dementia across breakfast, lunch and supper service.

Our food is freshly cooked on site and offer a mix of traditional British dishes to the exotic. The position is based at Cedars Care, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 6FQ

This exciting opportunity as a Chef Manager is based. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of catering professionals and reporting into the Operations Manager

Your key responsibilities as the Chef Manager will consist of
•Great communicator and relationship builder with colleagues, residents and the client
•Have an eye for detail
•Be able to control finances – labour/consumption/ stock control
•Lead Heads of Departments to ensure proactive management of teams on site.
•Accountable for recruiting, inducting, training and supporting staff to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, our customer and clients.
•Motivating and managing a team
•Controlling and managing a budget
•Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
•Accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
•An understanding of TMF and dysphasic diets would be an advantage.
•Engage with clients, customers and residents
•Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues.

•Self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised
•Proactive with a ‘can do' attitude
•Contract Catering experience desirable

Benefits

As part of your package, we are offering a salary from £ 25000 per annum/ dependent on experience.

Holidays 28 days (including Bank Holidays) and increasing to 31 days after 2 years' service, life assurance, colleague pension enrolment.
