We understand the extensive demands placed on care providers in satisfying Care Quality Commission requirements, dealing with a diverse staff group, and managing costs effectively during difficult economic times.

We provide dining services to all types of residential and nursing care homes throughout the UK. Our clients’ often loyal and long serving staff become Elior staff through a sensitively managed TUPE process. Our Training Academy covers critical areas such as the principles of person-centred care, hydration and nutrition, and specialised diets.

Our service philosophy is that every resident is an individual, whose particular needs must be properly understood and planned for. As their lives change we monitor and respond positively to their new requirements. Because we understand the demanding detail of meeting the Health & Social Care Act 2010, Outcome 5 and other CQC regulated areas, we take great care to design menus that suit the particular group of residents and their diverse nutritional needs.

With Provisionplan we have used our experience in residential care to design a meal service solution specifically for the needs of those with dementia and specialised needs. Provisionplan has several aspects:

Carefully designed menus

Our menus for elderly people reflect the seasonal availability of fresh produce and meet residents’ personal tastes but with the emphasis on soft foods that are easily digestible, as well as dishes that are an enjoyable focal point.

Foodbox

Endorsed by the Alzheimer’s Society as being unique and innovative, and accredited by Age UK, the Foodbox concept gives residents access to nutritional foods twenty four hours a day.

Provisionplan also includes specialist visual communication and sensory aids to help with menu choice, a software system to monitor diet and dignity crockery.

Our training for our care home employees is the most advanced and enlightened in the contract catering industry. We have worked with Age UK to develop training programmes based on the best research and most progressive thinking on nutritional and psychological importance of food and dining to elderly people in the care home environment. Areas covered by our training include person -centred care, texture modified meals and a food-centred activities programme to engage our residents.

We provide FM services as well

At Elior, our services extend beyond catering. We can provide Facilities Management packages such as laundry, cleaning and grounds maintenance, food purchasing improvement and chef training services.
