Elior wins double at Murrayfield

Elior UK, caterer at Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby, has won a healthyliving award for the nutritional quality of its menus served to players at the club.

This is the second award that the Elior catering team, operating under the name ‘Murrayfield Experience’, has attained, as it recently acquired an Eat Safe Award from the Food Standards Agency in November last year.

The healthyliving award is supported by the Scottish Government and NHS Health Scotland. It recognises and rewards foodservice operators in Scotland which serve healthier food and actively help customers to make better food choices.

To qualify for the award, caterers must meet a set of key criteria. These include a commitment to providing and supporting healthier eating through menu selection, food preparation, marketing and food presentation.

Anne Lee, project manager, healthyliving award, says: “The Elior team should be proud of winning this award. It provides a benchmark that all caterers should strive to achieve and illustrates Elior’s commitment to delivering nutritious, healthy and varied food choices to the players.”

James Nicholson, site director, Elior UK, adds: “It’s great to gain further recognition for the team’s efforts. We are constantly seeking to raise standards and improve our offer to make the hospitality at Murrayfield the best eating experience of its kind.”
