We work with a variety of charities that help us to address the social challenges we allfaciein our industry. Our aim is to providing young people with opportunities to develop a fulfilling career in catering. Springboard, one of our charity partner, supports us in promoting the catering industry to young and disadvantaged people and provides training and coaching to improve employability.

As part of our work to promote health and well-being to our customers and to the community, last year we teamed up with Business in the Community Let’s get cooking initiative to foster the adoption of healthy eating practices among school children.

For 2012 Elior’s charity of the year will be Starlight, an organisation that aims to grant wishes for seriously ill children and to provide stimulating programmes in hospital. A co-ordinated series of fundraising events will be organised across our operations.

We encourage our employees to contribute positively to society  through  our volunteering programme. This allows each employee to take 2 paid days every year to work for a charity of their choice.
